Posted by: | CommentsI had a very wonderful and great experience. I was pregnant for nine months and it was truly wonderful. When I found out I was pregnant, I was completely happy and could not believe that soon I was going to have a baby of my own. Being happy was one feeling, but I was also feeling worried because I was not sure if I was going to be a good parent to her.
Every day was a blessing as I could feel her inside and the little movements she made were incredible. I always put my little girl first by making sure I was always eating properly and getting plenty of rest. I took care of myself as much as possible because my baby was my only priority and concern. I would spend time each day talking to her and making sure she always knew I was here for her and that I loved her. It was a great help having my husband by my side and always with me during this journey and that he loved his little girl. He was always making sure I was ok and that if I needed anything; he would take care of it. I was treated like a princess during this time as he would do all of the cooking and making sure me and our girl never had any worries.
The months and days went by and soon it was a little more uncomfortable to deal. It was harder to sleep and get comfortable. I was getting so much bigger as I went from 94 pounds to an amazing 140 pounds. I was always a little cramped and of course going to the bathroom a million times a day and night. She was always kicking me and moving all over, but this was enjoyable. I was able to hear her heartbeats once a month and that made all of this totally worth the discomfort.
We had the September 16, 2009 as our delivery date, but our little Sophie did not want to wait. I was excited and scared. My water broke on September 13, 2009 at around 9 in the morning. We rushed to the hospital and were admitted to the room. I was really getting nervous as the hooked all of the cables to me and the IV’s. They started me on medicine to prepare for the birth. It took about 9 hours to give birth and even though it hurt and was so draining on the body, it was all over and the joy took over as I seen the nurse taken her to clean up. Our day was finally here and we now have our baby girl, Sophie. She has truly changed our life and was the greatest blessing we could have had.
