Although it does sound like a strange thing to do it can prove to be very relaxing. There are many celebrities such as James Caan who love to drive their boats around as they find it very relaxing.

So although most people will not actually be able to afford to get their own boat there is no reason at all that you will not be able to afford to rent one for a short while. If like many other people you are thinking about renting a boat for a day then it is not to be forgotten that there are a lot of things that can be done.

Drive Around

You could do the very obvious one and just take it for a bit of a drive around the sea and enjoy the world for what it is. Many people like to don a captain’s hat whilst they are doing it for a bit of a laugh.

Swimming/Scuba

Find a remote location and just jump into the water and have a swim around to feel the warmth of the water. Be careful that you are not in an area where predators such as sharks linger. All you need to do is ask around to find some of the best places. If you have previously been scuba diving and you are allowed to do it by yourself then why not try it by jumping off the boat.

Fishing

Do not just go out and fish anywhere, there are many places where you are not allowed to go out and fish. Do not make the mistake of fishing anywhere you like, ask around to see where it is actually allowed.

One thing I will say is make sure the boat has one of the decent marine batteries in it as you will then get the most out of the boat.
